Plaintiffs have filed lawsuits against DePuy Orthopaedics over alleged defects in the company’s Pinnacle and ASR metal-on-metal hip replacement devices. The devices purportedly had pieces of metal breaking off while implanted in a patient’s body, which caused extreme pain/discomfort and metal poisoning.
