Prescription Drug Benicar

Plaintiffs in the lawsuits involving Benicar, a medication used to help treat high blood pressure, allege to have suffered severe gastrointestinal injuries as a result of using the drug. The gastrointestinal problems claimed include sprue-like enteropathy, a condition that causes severe and chronic diarrhea and substantial weight loss, and villous atrophy, a condition that weakens the texture of the intestines leading to malnourishment.

The lawsuits are brought against the manufacturer of the drug, Daiichi Dankyo, Inc. d/b/a Daiichi Sankyo Pharma Development and affiliated entities.
