Federal Employers Liability Act
In 1908, as the railroad industry was booming in the United States, the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) was passed in order to provide a remedy to injured railroad workers. Although the industry has lost significance in light of other forms of transportation, railroad workers still face the same threat of injury.
