Prescription Drug Pradaxa

Pradaxa is a blood-thinning drug manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. The drug has been linked to several serious side effects including severe internal bleeding of the rectum, gastrointestinal tract bleeding, brain hemorrhages and over 500 deaths. In May 2014, defendant Boehringer announced that it would settle all 4,000 pending Pradaxa MDL cases and contributed $650 million to the settlement fund.
